ABACUS is the Asia Pacific's largest Global Distribution System (GDS) and Computerized Reservation System (CRS) with 15,000 agency locations in 24 countries with more than 1000 employees. ABACUS provides the travel information and reservations specifically tailored to the Asia Pacific region. The Abacus system allows the travel agents to book and gain access to information on hundreds of Airlines, Hotels, Car rentals, Cruises, Insurance companies worldwide.

Established in May 1988, Singapore-based ABACUS has grown from strength to strength in our 20 years of servicing the travel industry in Asia-Pacific. We are 65 percent owned by ABACUS International Holdings and 35 percent by Sabre, a US-based leader in the electronic distribution of travel and travel-related services. ABACUS International Holdings is jointly owned by a consortia of 11 of the most profitable airlines in Asia-Pacific: All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, China Airlines, EVA Airways, Garuda Indonesia, Dragon Air, Malaysia Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, Silk Air and Singapore Airlines.

ABACUS maintains its strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region through National Marketing Companies (NMCs), which provide training, on-site support and also a helpdesk that answers queries and trouble-shoots problems. ABACUS is represented by some 60 offices in Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
